Soestdijk palace lies between Baarn and Soestdijk, in the woodlands of Het Gooi. For many decades, the friendly white house was the residence of queen, and later, princess Juliana and prince Bernhard. Since a few month, the palace is empty.
The palace was built in the 17th century on the place of an old farmhouse as a hunting lodge for king William III. In the 19th century, the white wings with their pavillions were added.
